I have discovered that I have VERY few pictures of me and my boy. There are two reasons: 1) I am usually the one behind the camera, and 2) every time I pull out the camera he wants to take it from me.

Day #271
Day #270
Tyler's latest project while I cook dinner...
Day #269
Ever have those days where the run feels so good you could go 5 miles instead of the usual 3 if you only had time? Nothing feels better than a REALLY good run after a long day working on a BIG project. It really is the perfect thing for some mental clarity.
Day #268
I'm doing anything these days to keep this boy entertained on the way home. It seems we're back to the scream-the-whole-way-home phase. I'm not a fan of this phase.
Day #267
We usually have the door to the bathroom closed all the time. Looks like the little one found it accidentally open and didn't want to come out...
Day #266
I love these guys...
Day #265
I've found Tyler's Cheerio hiding place...the door handle in the back seat of the truck. When I discovered it there were 20 in there. He must have gotten hungry on the way home...only two left!
Day #264
Longest Commute Ever...
Day #263
Am I the only one whose kid HATES to have his diaper changed? I mean seriously...it's like a fight Every.Single.Time. He kicks and screams so much that we moved his diaper changing pad/supplies to the floor a few months ago. He goes and sits on it when he's reading a book and playing in his room, but the second you put him on it to change him it is full meltdown mode. I just don't understand. He even does this when we are out in public. People literally think I'm stealing a kid or something. Will this ever end? It could be done in five seconds if he wasn't kicking and screaming the whole time!

Day #262
Golf tournament #2 today. It rained ALL morning. It was not looking good for the 12:30 start, but as I was driving back to the office after setting up registration, I saw a tiny bit of blue sky peaking through the clouds. About and hour later is was actually a beautiful day.
Day #261
Golf tournament #1 was today. It was a nice cool day and a beautiful course, but the hole that I had to sit at all day was literally in a swamp. The bugs were terrible. One of the golfers actually took pity on me and donated his bug spray to me.
Day #260
Tyler is getting so big it amazes me every day. We went to the park today and he was going down the slide all by himself! He climbs right up there, sits down, and lets go. He's so cute.
Day #259
Another run down. This was a new one for me that ran through Ashburn. It was a nice run, although my fancy new phone totally said it was going to be sunny today and it totally started raining in the middle of the run. Oh well, the good news is that I finished the run in normal time which is surprising considering that I haven't run in about two weeks due to the madness that has been going on around here.
Day #258
What a crazy week. This is what the passenger seat, back seat (other than car seat area), and trunk of my truck look like right now. I have a golf tournament on Monday AND Tuesday next week. Boxes are everywhere.
Day #257
Stepping up in the world! Bryant and I BOTH got new phones this weekend. It's taking some getting used to, but I love it. I downloaded an app that I can't wait to use...it tracks my distance, pace, and time for runs.
Day #256
New shoes! Now that the weather is changing I needed to buy Tyler some tennis shoes for the fall/winter. Unfortunately he has such chubby feet that I've had a hard time finding ones that fit. I bought a rather expensive pair of 5W for him, and managed to find these that are not wide, but still fit. Love them!
Day #255
I treated myself to the fancy new bracelet recently. It's Silpada, and I had the opportunity to purchase one item at 50% off. I grabbed this beauty and I LOVE it!
Day #254
It's Monday. I've only spent one full day at my desk in the last 14 days. I have SOOOO much work to get done. I got here at 7:05 am and will likely be here until 4:45. This requires the biggest coffee I could find...
Day #253
Hallelujah! Amen! I've never been so happy to see sunlight in my entire life. It's been raining for days, and Tyler and I are so tired of being cooped up inside. Time to go out and play!
Day #252
Bryant's mom's family had their annual reunion today. It's always fun for me since my family is so small. He has such a large family that everyone had to wear these name badges. Of course Tyler's badge had to go on his back since he has a weird fear of stickers.
Day #251
We finally moved some of my dad's furniture to our house last weekend. Our house has been in shambles since then. We spent all day moving, so in an effort to get the truck back in time, let our friend who generously helped us get back to his family, get home to relieve my mom who was watching Tyler, and get Tyler some dinner, we literally threw everything in our front room and office, and bolted out the door. We've spent the week putting everything where it needs to be and finally got to hang up some of his nice artwork that we love. Since we're storing his things for a few years we might as well enjoy some of it, right?
Day #250
Our daycare lady had a family emergency this week, so I've been home with Tyler all week...and it's been raining all week. I think we are both going crazy. I am swamped with work since I was traveling last week, so I have the laptop perched on the kitchen table where I squeeze in as much time as I can during Tyler's naps and in the evenings when he goes to sleep. I'm exhausted...
Day #249
I honestly thought I broke this toe today. Tyler placed one of his large, hard toys in my path as I was leaving the laundry room with arms full of laundry. I kicked the toy so hard it went flying across the room as I fell to the floor in pain. I haven't been able to put pressure on it without shooting pains.
Day #248
Clearly I haven't caught the weather forecast since getting back from California. Today's high was 65 degrees, and rainy. I sent Tyler to daycare in shorts and a tee shirt...OOOPs!
Day #247
I found a little surprise while emptying the dishwasher today. It looks like a certain race car when for a spin with the dishes! I guess it's better than a cardboard puzzle piece or something!
Day #246
We attended a baby shower today. It was super fun, and the host made these AMAZING cupcakes. How beautiful are those? I almost didn't want to eat them!
Day #245
This is Tyler's lovey. He has three of them. I think Pooh Bear is his favorite one (not pictured). I'm perfectly happy for him to have a lovey, but am wondering when we should tackle the binkie removal. I've cut it back so that he ONLY gets the binkie when he's sleeping, but he seems especially addicted to it lately. I think if the binkie fairy takes them away sooner rather than later that we might have less of a fight, but I'm not sure I'm ready for the fight yet....
Day #244
Well, I made it back from San Francisco. Here is where my suitcase is sitting on my bathroom floor, and where it will probably sit for the next few days weeks. Why is it that it takes me soooo long to unpack from a trip? Does anyone else have this issue?
Day #243
I met the Nesquick bunny today! We were escaping from the conference to go to a lunch OUTSIDE in the beautiful weather and ran in to the bunny. I had to grab a picture. I'm a nerd...I know. Actually, now that I think about it...this might be the first photo of me (my face) that I've had on here.
Day #242
The highlight of my trip is this crab and corn chowder from La Boudin bakery at Fisherman's Warf. I've honestly been dreaming about it since we left last year. I think we'll be coming here for this every night that we are here!
Day #241
Well, I'm off to San Francisco for four days for work. Sitting in the airport this morning I already miss my boys...
Day #240
Just another manic Monday. I'm attempting to switch the cycle and take Tyler to daycare in the mornings instead of Bryant taking him. I'd rather let Tyler sleep for the extra 30 or 60 minutes than have to get him up early to go with Bryant. Of course that means my Monday morning front seat looks like this...gym bag, purse/file bag, my lunch, my dress shoes, Tyler's lunch box, and Tyler's blanket, shoes, and wipes for daycare.
Day #239
My grandma, Tyler's great grandma, is visiting us for the day/night. We are expecting a pretty significant hurricane to pass through the area today and this evening, so she is staying with us in case her house looses power or has water issues. Tyler had fun showing her all of his books.
Day #238
Another little girl is on the way! I got to shop for fuzzy pink outfits for a friend again. It is so weird since I'm used to monsters and truck outfits, but so much fun too! I can't wait to meet the little princess.
Day #237
Tyler's new favorite hiding place...he's so funny. He climbs in, shuts the door, and then opens the door and yells "AHHHH."
Day #236
Bryant also created a pretty neat chalkboard for me for the kitchen. It's narrow, but long so maybe one day Tyler will draw some pictures on it for us.
Day #235
In addition to fixing up the dining room, Bryant is finally working on my craft room for me. He's adding wainscoting to it that matches what he did in Tyler's room. I'm soooo excited to have my room back together and be able to lay out my projects and have a table for gift wrapping, etc. I love my handy hubby!
Day #234
What a CRAZY week weather-wise. We felt an earthquake this week. I was at work. I think it registered a 6 on the scale. It's definitely the strongest I've ever felt. It's certainly NOT a feeling I like. Thank goodness they do not happen often here.
Day #233
I'm working from home today and it is a GORGEOUS day. I have the windows open, and Rocko is sitting on the hill in the sunshine (he can see the neighborhood over the fence if he sits up on the hill). Happy all around.
Day #232
And, since we are repainting and getting REALLY nice furniture for the dining room, it's high time we upgrade the lighting fixture in there. This hideous gold fixture has GOT to go. We replaced it with a nice brushed silver, more modern looking fixture. WAHOO!!
Day #231
Day #230
What a yucky morning. The fog is sooooo thick you can barely see the car in front of you. AND, I discovered that if you leave the flash on when trying to take a photo of fog, that it highlights each little droplet like in this photo. Kind of neat if you are going for that type of effect.
Day #229
He likes it! Just as I had hoped, Tyler grabbed his books and settled in to the little pillow corner in his room!
Day #228
Tyler seems to have a new found love of books. He's so cute with them. Of course he isn't actually reading them, but he gathers them and sits down to flip through the pages. Every once in a while he'll stop, point at a picture, and "ooooh." He's also become very snuggly lately which I LOVE. He grabs a book, comes over, and wiggles his way into your lap so you'll read him the book. LOVE IT!
