Such a beautiful week weather-wise! We were even able to drive home with the ac off and the windows down. WAHOO!!

Day #226
We FINALLY found ocra at the store this weekend. The hubby has been craving ocra for weeks now and they finally got it at the grocery!
Day #224
Tyler discovered puddles today and he had a blast! So much so that I had to go buy him a new outfit from a nearby store for the ride home. The splashing pictured above quickly turned in to crawling and rolling around in the puddles. He had a great time!
Day #223
The hubby and I got to enjoy a nice relaxing date afternoon today. I took the afternoon off of work since he gets off at noon. We spent a few hours by my dad's pool before they sell the house, and then went to an old favorite - Maggiano's - for a leisurely dinner. Seriously, we sat in this dark corner drinking our wine for quite a while after we finished eating dinner. It was lovely. We need to do that more often!
Day #222
I finally scrubbed our bathroom today. It's a ridiculously large bathroom that I hate to clean. The centerpiece of the bathroom is this big jetted tub that we NEVER use. I remember when we bought the house how nice I thought it was going to be to be able to soak in this tub. WRONG. It is completely impossible to get the jets cleaned out. I've tried a hundred times, a hundred different ways. It's just gross and I won't ever get in that tub. Regardless, I finally hung an old (not my favorite) picture on the wall and added an accessory. At least it looks nice since it's the first thing you see when you walk in the bathroom...even if it is never used!
Day #221
Now that the weather is bearable (below 99 degrees) Tyler and I venture to the neighborhood park nearly every evening after work. He LOVES it. He never wants to come home. He jumps out of the wagon and just starts running everywhere, swinging in swings, and sliding down slides. He's a happy boy at the park. And he doesn't want to get in the wagon to come home either. It's a delicate dance to get halfway home before he realizes we're going home...otherwise there will be screaming and flailing arms and neighbors looking at me like I'm kidnapping a kid. He could care less that there is a lightning filled storm coming!

Day #220
Men just don't get it do they...I saw these heels while shopping during our beach "vacation" in July. I loved them, and so did the hubby, but when I tried to explain to him that four inch heels were one inch higher than my three inch heel max he replied "what's one more inch?"! Needless to say, I bought them anyway, but boy are they hard to walk in! If only they had to walk in our shoes for a day!
Day #219
After Tyler had so much fun in this exact same pool at a birthday party a few weeks ago I HAD to go buy him one since his "baby" pools are much smaller. He had a great time...for 10 minutes. In his defense it was nap time. I was pushing it a bit. Next time we'll play in the pool long before nap time.
Day #218
Is this what everyone's house looks like on Sunday morning? No? Just mine? After a Sunday morning playing at home in our jammies, my living room looks like a tornado hit!
Day #217
We attended a fun barbecue/play date at a friends house today. It was fun to see everyone just for fun...not a holiday, or birthday or anything! My little man held his own with the older girls too! :)
Day #216
Well, now that the oven door and stove knobs are not available for play he has resorted to the oven drawer.

Day #213
There are thunderstorms in the area today which normally would be bad for outdoor fun, but the storms seem to be far enough away that it's not raining here, but they have helped to drop the temperature outside to a more reasonable high 80s. So, after work today Tyler and I enjoyed walking up and down the street in front of the house. Once that got old we pulled out the wagon and went for a stroll to the park. Tyler loved it! So much so that he screamed at me when we had to leave because the dark clouds were getting closer. It was so nice to get out of the house again. He had such a great time that today I have two photos for you...my boy loves the park...enjoy!
Day #212
I'm working from home today since my coworker generously shared her germs with me. I've come to the conclusion that the chair I have in my office here is literally a pain in the butt! After eight hours sitting on that thing I think I may never sit again. My lower back is begging me to buy a new chair!
Day #211
We had lunch with my family today to celebrate MORE birthdays! Grandma enjoyed some Tyler time. Tyler enjoyed some pizza. All in all it was a successful outing!
Day #210
We went to a birthday party today for one of Tyler's distant cousins. It was great fun. Tyler enjoyed exploring a new house, eating ALL the fruit, and swimming in their blow up pool (we will be heading out to purchase one of them this weekend). This was a first birthday party, and unlike Tyler's first birthday it had a "Wubbzy" theme. Apparently that is a Nick Jr show that the birthday boy likes to watch, which got me thinking...am I the only one whose child doesn't show even the slightest interest in sitting to watch anything? Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to sit there for hours or anything, but 30 minutes while I make dinner would be awesome every once in a while! Happy Birthday Bryce!
